Exercise and Skin Stimulation
by Tanya Zilberter, Ph.D. — Diet and Body
It
was the initial intention of the Panacea method’s developer
to use the device
for elite athletes’ performance enhancement. This was exactly what the
inventor stated in his patent claim in 1978.
In
1981, the method was
under investigation in the State Institute of
Physical Education, Moscow, where 2450 treatments were applied to
healthy young males and the following conclusions were made (courtesy
of V.I. Punin, Moscow clinic “Therapevt,” personal communication, 1989)
- During the applicator session, heart rate
of healthy young males increased for average 4.5 min., then returned to
normal for the rest of the session. Arterial blood pressure might
deviate from the baseline by 10 mm Hg, increasing or decreasing, during
the session.
- Oxygen consumption increased by average 20
% during the session and average 5 min. after, returning to the
baseline gradually after.
- CO2 expiration rate increased by average
17.5% demonstrating the dynamic similar to those for oxygen consumption.
- Physical exercise endurance with intensity 60% of maximal oxygen consumption
was increased by average 10% after a 30 minute-duration session.
- Electrical
parameters of acupoints for the endocrine glands and for the brain after
the session became characteristic for better functional state of the organism,
than before the session.
Better functional state was confirmed also
by increased skin bioluminescent radiation (effect of Kirlian) after
the session.
In 1994,
at the
Division of Physical Therapy, University of North Carolina, Chapel
Hill, we repeated VO2 and CO2 measurement with pretty much similar
results.
In 1996-97,
the Community Holistic Health Center in Carrboro, NC, USA, we followed
up on 200 volunteers; 126 of them filled out and returned the
questionnaires. Among them, 105 tried the device for specific health
problems. The five most frequently reported conditions were: (starting
with the most frequent): stress, pain, muscle spasms, mood swings
and insomnia.
One or more
positive effects were reported by 99 of the 105 participants with
specific health problems and 13 out of the 21 participants with no
specific health problems. Of the total 126 participants, 103
participants experiencing positive effects:
- 98% reported pain relief;
- 96% reported relaxation;
- 94% reported improvement
of sleep quality;
- 81% reported an increase in energy level.
“There is a real feeling of "relaxed" muscles — it
redistributed the tension in my lower back. It’s a clear source to release
specific muscle tension.”
“I was one of your doubting Thomases. But the Panacea is a terrifically
effective, efficient muscle relaxer. It has banished my morning back stiffness
and ironed outs pulled back muscles. I have used it twice when I had trouble
sleeping and it truly relaxed me to the edge of sleep. How strange something
so simple works so well.”
“Fabulous results! The combination of massage therapy
and the Panacea has been the only thing that has actually helped my lower
back. My riding (horses) is once again possible and better than its been
since I was a teenager (and I just turned 50!).”
“I use Panacea for a severe hamstring injury and insomnia.
It is great for pain, injuries, headaches, energy boosts and insomnia. I’ve
recommended to every one who is in pain.”
“I used this gadget for my neck and shoulder pain after my car accident.
It helped right away. After two months of use, I forgot about my insomnia
and — beyond any hopes — my impotence of 5 years was gone!”
First 5 to 10 minutes:
the Panacea acts as an energizer |
 |
After 20 to 30 minutes:
the Panacea acts as a relaxant |

 |
- Athletes
reported a rush of energy, helping them to train and
perform at higher levels.
- Metabolism
rises, as measured by increased oxygen consumption
during the stimulation.
- Natural growth hormone
secretion is stimulated by endorphins
— for muscle building.

These results can be explained
by recent scientific observation about
2-phases time course of endorphins action. |

We have
dozens of scientific reports in our database on spontaneous physical
activity increase due to endorphin concentration elevation in the
blood. By helping endorphin release, the Panacea makes our bodies
happier about our physical efforts.
The
stimulation prepares the body for a workout
Our
research shows significantly heightened metabolism due to the Panacea
treatment. We recorded additional energy expenditure due to
increased body’s heatdissipation through the skin.
Growth
hormone release
The human
body produces growth hormone (GH) throughout its lifetime, however,
secretion decreases significantly with age. GH deficiency causes
inability to perform physically, plus contributes to cardiovascular
diseases, osteoporosis, etc. GH replacement therapy has become a
very fashionable (and expensive) tool in the struggle against
aging. Many advantages of this approach are clinically
proven. Due to its prominent anabolic properties, GH stimulates
lypolisis and protein synthesis, resulting in decreased body fat and
increased muscle mass.
GH provides
an overall improvement of the immune system and mental abilities and
also enhances collagen synthesis that leads to improved skin
condition. It has recently been concluded that, instead of direct
GH injections, the use of natural GH releasers can be beneficial to the
human body. Exercising, fasting, and vegetarian dieting are among
the known natural GH releasers.
Endogenous
endorphins, produced in our bodies as a response to the Panacea
treatment, are the most potent, convenient, and safe natural GH
releasers.
Muscle
spasm relief
We have
numerous clinical and personal reports on fast spasm relief. The
treatment significantly increases blood flow to an overworked muscle.
Panacea use improves metabolic conditions, oxygenation, toxin
evacuation and delivery of nutrients, thus, eliminating the cause of
muscle spasms. Muscle cramps during and after vigorous workouts are the
result of muscle constriction that causes diminished circulation,
insufficient oxygenation, and increased lactic acid concentration.
Numerous experimental data have shown endorphins to be powerful tissue
protectors against hypoxia (lack of oxygen).
